How to knot your tie
The knot should fit proparly around the collar, but shouldn't be too tight. If the knot of your tie is flat, the knot is probably too large or too loose. Try it again!
This knot is very traditional and gives a nice thick V to the knot. Perfect for important appointments, such as a jobinterview or a (work)presentation. This type of knot is best worn in combination with a wide spread collar, so that there is enough room for the knot.
The Double Windsor knot can be created in just four steps.
- Keep the tie in a position in which the wide section is about 30 centimeters below the narrow part (image 1).
- Raise the wide section and pull it through the loop around the neck. Tighten the knot (image 2+3+4).
- Fold the tie to the left and pull the wide part through the loop around the neck again (image 5+6).
- Pull the knot slowly towards your neck by pulling the narrow part (image 7).
